Zoals je weet heeft de R1100RT een 18 inch achtervelg. Beschikbaarheid van banden is minder dan 17 inch. Op YouTube kijk ik naar het kanaal: Alex Bau on Tour. Hij rijdt daar veel op de R1100RT. In deze video: https://youtu.be/6IMb9KU9SVQ kun je zien dat zijn R1100RT een achterwiel heeft van R1150RT - wat wordt beschreven in de reacties onder de video.

Wat denk jij ervan?

Is dit een algemene oplossing?

Alex schrijft onder de video dat het rijgedrag van de motor beter is en dat hij meer bandenkeuze heeft.

Alex writes under the video that the bike's handling is better and it has more tire choices.

I must say that I never realised the differences in wheel sizes between the 1100 and the 1150 before moving from a 1100 (with brand new tyres) to a 1150 (that needed new tyres) and thus couldn't swap over the tyres.
I also never really heard of people using 1150 wheels on a 1100, so I don't think it's a common solution.

Since both models are almost identical it doesn't surprise me they could fit, but you can easily find out yourself by test driving an R1100RT and an R1150RT and compare the driving experience.

Aandachtspunten:
- de remschijf en de ring voor de ABS-sensor
- je huidige achterwiel is 4,5 inch breed. De breedte van de 17-inch BMW-achterwielen is 5 of 5,5 inch.

Zeer goed nieuws Ik dacht dat 18 inch achterwiel op de eigenlijk een probleem is dat opgelost wordt door over te stappen op een 17 inch velg.
